Welcome to Ethel Braithwaites.

We are Linda and Gerald Read and we have been at Ethels for just over two years. We have lived in North Devon for over 30 years and are currently living South Molton. Ethel Braithwaites is a long established store full of local produce. The shop is situated in Lynton nestled between the steep hills of Exmoor and the rugged North Devon coast.

Our major lines are all local goods but we have also grabbed the best from our neighbouring counties too. You will find items from delightful Devon, charming Cornwall and stunning Somerset!

Our delicious range of pasties are from Cornwall - of course! You can't beat a proper Cornish pasty!

Our tasty sandwiches and baguettes are made to order. Breads are baked locally and our baguettes are baked on the premises. Our fillings are fresh and we don't let ourselves down by using commercially made sandwich fillers.

Freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit smooties, milkshakes and hot drinks are made for you to take-away.

Our excellent icecream is available all year round and is made on Exmoor. We have a great selection including all the classic flavours.

We are extremely proud of our beautiful creamy fudge. Our loose fudge is from Cornwall. We cater for most tastes, we have the usual favourites as well as some more unusual treats! You'll have to pop in to try them all! And our organic fudge is made on our very own doorstep..Devon.

We have a wonderful variety of jams,marmalades,chutney and pickles. They are all made in small batches and all by traditional methods. You can certainly taste the difference!

We have the benefit of an off licence so we can offer local scrumpy,ciders,wines and ales. Perfect for presents or a treat for your own tastebuds!

Our assortments of teas and coffees are blended on Exmoor.
